PORCELAIN CROWNS ON METALLIC SUPPORT

Crowns and metal-ceramic bridges are the most commonly used. They combine the strength of metal with the look of ceramic. They are recommended for molars and premolars, which are especially strained in the process of mastication. The teeth are restored by covering them with metal-ceramic crowns. Discolored, blunt, short, broken, pigmented or incorrectly positioned teeth can be restored through porcelain on metallic support restorative pieces.

Zirconia is used as a thin and resistant infrastructure which allows us to apply an additional layer of ceramic, through a special layering technique, with spectacular aesthetic results. The color and translucency or zirconia make it a great choice for frontal teeth.

DENTURES

The mobile denture no longer has any support or anchoring element. It sits directly on the gums and jaw bone. The mobilized denture, on the other hand, has support or anchoring elements. They can be restorative pieces which cover the teeth left on the dental arch. We can use special binding elements between the restorative pieces and denture. A special category are mobilized dentures which on overdentures. They are viable, but the high pressure on support dental implants (few) reduces their life span.

Dentures have an acrylic base or a mixt base (with added metal structure for strength) in which porcelain or acrylate teeth are inserted.

VENEERS, INLAYS AND ALL CERAMIC CROWNS

The main purpose of veneers and all ceramic crowns is to enhance the appearance of your smile. Their resistance is lower than metal-ceramic or zirconium restorative pieces, but they are closest to the natural look. Porcelain inlays are a more resistant alternative to classical fillings made in the laboratory.
